Got to get back to the beginning of things! Rereading Nietzsche's Ecce Homo again.
A laughing lion is always hungry for more meat. All truth is forgotten when it is swallowed. This book was his last original bone to pick with this jungle of ours. It says, here stands a man of many means. Let destiny have his way with me! It is a tale told by a solitary soul enraptured by a savage thirst for survival. What it says to modern man is shocking. It teases us, it shouts, "Look at me!" Every man lives on his own self-made credit, what the world says you are is another story. In the end, one must revolt against all takers. To be master of my backbone. I must say, Hear Me! For I am such and such a person. Above all, do not mistake me for someone else!
